Book: Tanya
Title: Who would have thought?
Summary: A young Aboriginal woman traces her challenging path from a remote NSW mining town to working life in a leading university in major city.
A small town girl living in a big-city world. How did I get here?
Childhood memories of growing up in a small mining town in far western NSW, where the majority of the residents were non-Indigenous people, and the challenges an Aboriginal family faced every day just to live, work, survive and put food on the table.
Then there is schooling, work, life and the path to work at one of the most prestigious universities in Australia, the University of Sydney.
